茶作为中国传统饮品，茶文化在湖湘地区底蕴丰富。益阳和常德的擂茶极具湖湘特色，保靖黄金茶更是湖南绿茶的一张名片。茶也是重要社交媒介。

Recently Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian tweeted about Changsha. Following his tweet, many netizens also cheer for Changsha. Rohit Tyagi replied, “Fried tofu and tea is fantastic in Changsha. Wanna try that again.”

Tea, as a traditional Chinese drink, has a rich cultural background in Hunan region. Lei cha (ground tea) from Yiyang and Changde expresses a strong Hunan locality. Baojing Huangjin Tea can be considered as the front cover of Hunan green tea. Tea is also an important social medium.
