On August 18, 2026, the first cross-sea cold-chain express train departed from Haikou to Changsha, carrying Hainan's fresh bananas and tropical fruit. Traveling at 120 km/h — a first for Hainan's railway — it delivers produce from the island to Central China markets in just 26.5 hours.
水果在田间打包，装入自带电源的冷藏箱，经轮渡无缝过海，无需二次装卸。这条新线路稳定果价、缓解公路压力，也为东南亚经海南通往内陆打开了新通道。
Fruits are packed in the fields, loaded onto self-powered refrigerated containers, and seamlessly ferried across the strait without reloading. This new route stabilizes fruit prices, relieves road congestion, and connects Southeast Asia to inland China via Hainan.
